School Fete

The school fete could only be described as the event of the year.  A major component of the P&C fundraising for DPS.  As such we need heaps of volunteers. Sign up here in July/August.

Held the first Sunday in Spring each year the Spring Fete runs from 9am to 300pm. There are eftpos facilities available on the day.

Amusement rides for kids are a draw card for all ages.  A ticket wrist band is available for purchase on the P&C website at a ‘special price’ before the day of the fete.  Get in early there is a limited number of bands sold prior to the day.

The rides include the giant slide, tea cups, rocket simulator, jumping castle, rock climbing, cha cha and more.

For the kids there is face painting, cool tattoos, crazy hair, sand art, cake making and petting zoo exhibitions.  A ‘my school rules’ baking competition is held each year and the cakes are judged as to creativity and taste!

There are twenty plus fantastic stalls open each year with goods for sale.  There is art, craft, books, toys, cakes.  Come in and grab a bargain.  I go home with bags of great books for both myself and the kids to read each year for a bargain price.

Food is my highlight – yummy the Devonshire tea, wood fired pizza from Epic, barbeque, Kadmus Lebanese wraps, gelato, drinks and coffee to wash it all down … need I saw more.

The Fete is of course sponsored by our wonderful local businesses, we can’t thank them enough.
